How to Play Make it, Bake it, Fake it…

You are invited to be a part of the program at our January luncheon. Here’s how to participate:
Make it: Tap into your creative crafty side and make an item,
Bake it: Show off your baking creativity with a baked item,
Fake it: Buy an item to bring
Items brought will be displayed for an opportunity to win the item. How do you win? Tickets! How do you get tickets? Bring one or more items. Drop your ticket(s) into the bag of the item you want to win and if your ticket number is called “You Win”!
It’s a fun way to share a special treat or item and hopefully go home with a prize or two.

Some ideas:
Cake plates with delicious deserts, wine and chocolate baskets, homemade cards, polish pottery, bath products, jewelry, decorative items, candles, cookware, and Pinterest crafts. Please be creative as you like!

There will also be a scarf swap.  Bring a new scarf valued at $15 or under in a gift bag or wrapped.  Stop it off at the hospitality table and receive a ticket to participate in the swap.  Only those who bring a scarp will be able to participate in the swap.  As an added bonus, one of our talented members will be demonstrating the many different ways to wear a scarf.

Through out the various wars soldiers have attempted to maintain the traditions of keeping traditions of festive remembrances and reflections , please join us for an afternoon of being reminded of what HOME in the HEART is about. Guest speaker, Randy Waldron will entertain us with stories of World War I and the Christmas Truce, a day when we all put war aside and let peace happen for a day and a half.  Peace on Earth.

Our volunteer of the month is Patrice Sorenson.

We enjoyed a traditional “Christmas in the White House” menu for our luncheon selection and there was special music from Bob Kircus singing in the style of James Taylor and the Eagles.  He stole the show with “Silent Night.”

Please join the newly renamed Redstone Arsenal Military & Civilians’ Club as we pause together for an evening to honor and remember our veterans–past, present and future.
